Alexander Chapel Healthcare Employment (AC-HE) have a strict company policy that all staff must have a current and up to date enhanced DBS/CRB check. This ensures that all our working staff are fully compliant.

Our Role

The role of the DBS/CRB check is to ensure that our clients make the correct and safest recruitment decisions by preventing unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups. The DBS was established under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and merges the functions previously carried out by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

The law states that anyone working with children, the elderly or vulnerable adults must have an enhanced DBS/CRB check. https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check/overview

What we do for you:

With our online disclosure management service (eDMS)and in house expertise we are able to submit, process, track and receive Disclosures faster than ever before, often back in 24 hrs. A Disclosure result will be issued to AC-HE and the applicant can expect to receive their full certificate within the next 7-10 days in the post. In line with current DBS guidance, AC-HE do not receive a copy of the applicant’s certificate , but will ask the applicant for a copy of their certificate if a problem has been flagged.

Charges

Enhanced DBS/CRB checks cost £60 (inc VAT.) In order to assist new staff AC-HE can offer (at managers discretion) a staged salary deduction of 10% until this is paid off.
